She received her Acting MFA from CalArts and her Vocal Performance BFA from Millsaps College. Krystal Gem is a Los Angeles-based performing artist by way of Jackson, MS. Tammany at Slidell High School where he will direct the Slidell premier of NEWSIES! this October. Sauber has spent three summers as a Patchwork Player at Rivertown Theater, three Decembers as the Conductor on the Polar Express Train Ride for Rail Events and 23 years teaching in the Talented Arts Program in St. Sauber performs, directs and designs around town: at LePetite Theatre de Vieux Carre’, he won two Big Easy Awards for playing the Snail with the Mail in A Year with Frog and Toad and lighting the New Orleans premier of RENT and most recently danced on rooftops as Bert in Rivertown’s Mary Poppins. His favorite roles at JPAS include Princeton in Avenue Q and Lumiere in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (2004 & 2009!) Last seen on the Westwego stage in Amadeus and as Claude, da Gator in the regional premier of Petite Rouge, A Cajun Red Riding Hood, he spent many a summer directing the JPAS Youth Program productions of Bye Bye Birdie, The Little Mermaid Jr. Scott Sauber ( Tyler) is proud to return to the JPAS stage after performing his knees off in SHReK as Lord Farquaad at the JPAC. Tom is an advocate for Senior Healthcare and a newly appointed Board Member of Jefferson Performing Arts Society. He is a Southeast Missouri State University Alumni with a BA in Music Vocal Performance and is a current member of the New Orleans St. As a concert soloist, Tom has performed with the Empire City Men’s Chorus (NYC) and with Marble Collegiate Church Choir (NYC) televised nationally through MarbleVision and the Hallmark/Odyssey Channel. Favorite credits include a European touring production of “ The Golden Musicals Aus Broadway (La Scala Theatre), Basel Switzerland the role of Hortensio in a national tour of Kiss me Kate for Opera Northeast, NY Miles Gloriosus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Brandon Fradd Theater, NY Max Jacobs in On the 20 th Century at Seaside Music Theater, FL Sister Hubert in Nunsense Amen at the Brandon Fradd Theater, NY Older Patrick in Mame at Seaside Music Theater, FL and Jacob Rothschild in The Rothschilds – also at Seaside Music Theater.

Tom’s first New Orleans turn in theater began by portraying the role of Siegfried Throttleheimer in the world premiere of How to Kill a Diva at the JPAS West Wego Performing Arts Theater, LA.
Prior to Cinderella, Tom performed the role of Rooster in the 2019 seasonal JPAS productions of Annie and Max Detweiller in The Sound of Music. Tom last appeared as Sebastion for the JPAS production of Cinderella. Sometimes what they are learning might not be as tangible as other activities, but giving children the space and the time to investigate art is always time well spent.Tom Vaughn ( George) Is proud to be back on the Westbank with the cast of Sweet Potato Queens. Let them Investigate and Explore: This activity is perfect for sitting next to your child and enjoying the process alongside them.That got her interested in adding more layers to the artwork. For example, I pointed out to my daughter that the colors changed when she layered the tissue paper. Extend their Interest: Be there to ask questions, encourage, and support their interest.She lead the activity and the learning, not me! Then, she made groupings for each of our family members: Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc. It lead us into counting, comparing groups, and talking about how many people are in our family. It depends! My daughter made circles and groupings with the hearts.**Note: This is what process art is all about! It’s not about what it looks like in the end, but rather it’s about the journey, the learning, and the play that occurs during the process** She started to cover the hearts with tissue paper just like a blanket! Then, she layered with tissue paper squares. She carefully placed the hearts on the contact paper to start her sticky art collage. We upcycled some of my daughter’s old artwork by using our heart-shaped hole punch to make heart confetti. Tape the contact paper down to the light table and you’re ready! You’ll need to cover your light table with contact paper (make sure the sticky side faces upward!). Light Table Don’t have a light table? Don’t worry! You could easily do this in a window or on a table and it would still be a hit for any toddler or preschooler.
Sticky art on the light table takes just a few materials to create gorgeous, open-ended art.
